The Last Days of January

..The pland was a good one. We would meet in Miami, at the airport at 2:30 PM Thursday January 31st 2002. I arrived at the airport around 2:00, I made two practice trips around the airport pickup concourse. After a two day drive, and a month of planning things were coming together. So I pulled around the departure ramp one more time and David was standing there with a smile on his face.
..Now we were on our way. I had use my computer to plan my route to Miami, but I did not think about how to get from Miami to Key West. So it took us over an hour to get through Miami. Just goes to show that best plans sometimes aren't always complete. Even though we lost valuable daylight we had a good time talking with the windows down and the air-conditioner blasting.

A few pictures before David arrived. After I arrived in Florida on Wednesday I headed toward the ocean. I passed through Orlando where the grass was still showing winter colors. It was interesting to see trees that had lost their leaves, but their off springs that were low and close to the ground where green and growing. Well after

....I was taking pictures on the boardwalk passageway over the dunes, when this dum butt came up and started feeding the sea gulls. You know what sea gulls are, they are bombers of white, hot, running wet bombs. You see I know things about sea gulls. Back on another road trip with my cousin David we were cruising the outer banks of North Carolina. Hopping from Island to Island on a fairy full of cars and people, I was just sitting there watching the sea gulls flying around. So I decided to get out in feed them some crackers. Knowing what scavengers they were I figured they come after the crackers. So I wait until the sea gulls heading my way and I threw some crackers in the air. And it dives down and grabs the crackers. David hopes and out of the truck with the box of crackers and we started feeding the sea gulls. Well the rest of the tourist started bringing food out to feed the sea gulls. In less than one minute the sky was full of sea gulls. And all of a sudden David junps and I look at him and about half of his head was covered from gull's bomb. We ran back to the truck it was so funny to watch all the people running for cover.
