Late March Early April

This page is really late March or early April because of the weather. Around the weekend of March 20 Linda and I had discussed doing the Buffalo but the weather forecast was not a good one so we did not go in the weekend was beautifully perfect. The last week in March the forecast was just like the weekend before but we decided to cross our fingers and take the chance. Surprise surprise the weatherman's forecast was right as you see from these pictures it was nothing but wet. In the hopes that the weather might break land that I just visited that afternoon. Taking short walks when the rain would let up.

This first picture is of some brave souls packing it up to call of the day. There are several varieties of Spanish moss that grow in Arkansas.

On the way home just on top of the Buffalo Canyon the clouds were breaking up in the west which gave me the most remarkable sunset rainbow. The sun was so low in the sky it cause the rainbow to be narrow and red. If I'd had more room I could I showed you how narrow it was in one picture so I took pictures of each side of my truck and paste them together.

I'm not sure how many times I have canoed this part river 2 maybe 3 times. Always when there is plenty of water, and never a bad trip.

Springtime is an exciting time of year along the Buffalo. Linda and I enjoy exploring creeks along the Buffalo River. It is a time to get out of the canoe and stretch our legs. There's always something interesting to find.

Here are a couple of pictures of Linda getting that perfect photo, and looking to see what she can see.

It is a blessing to live in Arkansas. There are so many places of beauty for you to visit, and this was just another perfect weekend.
