February 05

This winter has been a mild winter. Every time it snowed, I was away. The flowering quince started blooming the first week of February. Here are a few pictures from this month that are from my yard. The baby was with his mother in Best Buy, and she was looking for a color printer to print pictures of her new son. I was looking at the Cannon EOS D20, which came out two months after I have bought my D10. The sales clerk was using an a picture printer to clear out a memory card so that I could take some pictures. When the mother asked the sales clerk about that printer she was using to clear the memory card. The sales clerk said I will show you and just push print on one of those junk pictures in the card. I said, give me that card, and I put it in the D20 camera and took a picture of her baby. And then gave the card back to the clerk in told her print that picture.

The mother ended up buying $2200 worth of camera and equipment. And I did not get my commission.   I believe they should increase the bag limit on deer. The deer come into my yard and eat everything they can reach. All the azaleas that are away from the house have been eaten. There is not one leaf or bud left on them. You can see how high they can reach on the tree below with English Ivy.

I had a job west of Hot Springs. So I started my day early and was finished by 2:30. It was a beautiful day so I took the back roads home through the Ouachita National Forest. Here are some early spring violets. The one on the right has a drop of nectar.  The Ouachita national forest has awe-inspiring vistas
