JULY 2001

After spending most of June working out of Monroe Louisiana, where I worked jobs in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.  July I started working in Mississippi, and Arkansas only.  We added a new customer up in northeastern Arkansas at Piggott.   Yes for real there is a town name PIGGOTT !  With this job I have seen a lot of new places.. There are four parts to this page. To get to any park just click on a picture. The first part is the southern Arkansas and western Mississippi the cotton fields.

Now this part is northeastern Arkansas. It was another hot steamy day in Arkansas. Flying down the road, I by past a field of junk, old farm implements, and pieces of metal spread out in a big mess. In this field there is an old log cabin standing in the door way was a white horse getting out of the sun.

It was exciting around the house this month. As you can see in this picture a big limb was hanging over the roof from damages of last winter's ice storm. What you can't see in this picture is that limb is cut up and store away for this winter storms. Mother nature has shown her power this year. This month we had two severe thunderstorms.

The Buffalo River this is a good part. What else could it be this is one of America's great Rivers. Linda moved home this summer, of course she lives as near the Buffalo.  We were talking on the phone the last Saturday night of the month decided to do Buffalo the next day. So early the next morning I packed all the things I would need. Stop at the store to get ice drinks and junk food, Linda came with launch and drinks, we had it made. Loading my canoe found one thing I left at home. the river camera!!!  So all I have is pictures from my land camera. Linda is going to send me the pictures she took.
